The Sustainability Route is a unique route in Mexico that values the efforts and achievements of companies and institutions in the city of León that work with a real focus on social and environmental responsibility in order to generate a positive impact on society.
It is aimed at an audience of eco-lifestyle consumers, entrepreneurs and businessmen, students of careers related to environmental engineering, sustainable tourism and social responsibility.
Itinerary
9:20-10:00 / Museo Verde
At the Museo Verde, a beautiful glass building located in Parque los Cárcamos, we will learn about native plants endemic to the Bajío region that fulfill a curative, culinary and spiritual function.
10.15-11.15 / Parque Metropolitano de León
We will discover the León Metropolitan Park, a 337 hectare protected natural area where a great variety of migratory birds flock (Canadian ducks and pelicans, among 205 other species). A quadricycle tour will be given to appreciate the landscape, natural attractions and facilities of this place of physical recreation for the people of León, known as León’s green lung.
11:30-12:30 / Tenería Panamericana del Bajío
We will visit the Panamericana del Bajío tannery, certified under the Eco Tannery clean tannery program and which supports various local civil associations. In this way, it has positioned itself as one of the most responsible tanneries in its sector.
12:50-13:20 / Fundación Corazón Mexicano
We will discover the social and economic impact of the shoe company Corazón Mexicano, through its Foundation that carries out numerous educational actions in favor of children, in one of the 8 poverty zones in León.
14:00-15:30 / Hotel Radisson Poliforum Plaza
We will know in detail the actions in favor of sustainability that the Radisson Poliforum Plaza Hotel has implemented, which won the International Responsible Business Award twice from the Radisson Hotels chain and has several hotel sustainability certifications. There we will taste a tasty healthy cocktail.
16:00-16:45 / Forum Cultural Guanajuato
The Guanajuato Cultural Forum is the largest venue in the country dedicated to culture and the arts to promote culture training in an integral way for the population of the region. Since its foundation, it has been characterized by exhibiting quality cultural products and services, the prestige of which has been recognized by audiences who have attended its programs. We will know its extensive facilities as well as its sculpture garden.

To ensure a quality tour and to respect the security measures of the companies visited, the groups will be of a maximum of 14 people. If necessary, the large group will be divided into subgroups and the visits will be reversed.
